Day Camp
The Day Camp Program operates from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday for four weeks during the summer months. Eligible participants are children ages 4 to 22 with a diagnosed developmental disability, delay, or learning disability/IEP.
Program areas include arts and crafts, music, aquatic activities, and outdoor recreation. The Day Camp also has frequent special presentations such as magicians, area fire department safety programs, nature presentations, and family picnic.
Staff is trained over a one week period by area professionals in areas such as CPR/First Aid, Communicable Diseases, Blood borne Pathogens, Child Abuse and Neglect, Non- Violent Crisis Intervention and Unusual Incidences. Much of our staff comes from the education field and can therefore, join us year after year. We strive to maintain a ratio of at least one staff member to every four campers. Registered Nurses are on site throughout the program to administer any first aid needs and to dispense medication.

Cost for Day Camp is $20.00 per day. There are a limited number of camperships and a sliding scale fee for service for those who qualify. We are also a certified provider through the Family Resource Services Program through local County Boards of DD. Transportation is provided to those requesting it, at no extra charge. Campers generally bring their own lunch, although area businesses provide at least one lunch per week. Drinks are provided throughout each day. In addition to lunch, campers are required to bring a swim suit, towel, and other personal items needed, including medication in properly marked containers.
